Ready to challenge your balance and core strength?
Looking to mix up your workout routine or try something new with your yoga practice? 
SUP Yoga takes your yoga practice to an entirely different place -- on a paddleboard, in the pool. With our paddleboards, we create floating mats by tethering the boards to the lane ropes. We challenge and build core strength, practice balance and stability, and have fun moving through familiar poses and sequences in a less familiar setting.

SUP Fitness 
combines SUP yoga with strength and cardio conditioning to create an awesome total body workout. We tether the paddle boards to the lane ropes and use them as floating gyms for this one hour class. Expect to have a great time while we practice balance, build strength and challenge our stability.

SUP Yoga and SUP Fitness are suitable for all levels of ability. Participants should be comfortable getting in and out of the water.
For indoor classes, I often rent lanes at the Orange County Sportsplex in Hillsborough, NC.  
​However, I can travel to your aquatic center or private pool as well.

Summer SUP season 2017 was a blast!
Thank you to all of my amazing clients who joined me on the water this year.  It was fabulous.  
Can't wait to see you all again starting in May 2018! 


In addition to community classes, I also am booking private SUP sessions for 2018.  
Consider  a two-hour, four-hour or full-day SUP and wellness outing/retreat as a unique team-building event for your company or organization.  
​
 Private bookings of 5 or more participants are a great way to get out on the boards with your friends, colleagues, neighbors, or family at a time and date that works perfectly for you.

​​Take your yoga practice to a whole new place -- on a paddleboard on the water -- in a quiet cove on Jordan Lake in Chapel Hill, Pittsboro and other local bodies of water.  Or challenge your body in a different way and change up your exercise routine with a cardio and resistance training workout on the board. Together we will paddle, practice yoga or rock some burpees, then relax and paddle some more.

No worries if you are new to paddleboarding or to yoga. We will spend time on SUP technique and paddling  for about 15 to 20 minutes before heading to our yoga or workout spot, and we will practice poses for all levels of ability.

In both the yoga and fusion classes, there are options for staying lower to the board to gain confidence and balance. With time, we move to our feet and practice standing poses and other more challenging postures and exercises.

Classes range from 75 minutes to 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on the class format.

I offer three different SUP classes: 

SUP Yoga  – Paddle, yoga, paddle. Delightful.
SUP Fitness – Paddle, body weight and resistance exercises, cardio conditioning, flexibility training, paddle. Fun.
SUP Basics – Paddle, practice, paddle, practice. Helpful.

The boards and paddles that I own, rent and LOVE are SUP ATX boards.

Pints and Poses - Yoga and Beer

Fitness can happen anywhere, even in a brewery!

I've teamed up with the fabulous people at ​​
Mystery Brewing Co, in Hillsborough, NC to offer "Pints and Poses" classes in the brewery.
We meet every other Thursday night in the actual brewery, right where they make the beer. After a 70-minute slow flow yoga practice in the brewery, we roll up our mats and head on down to the pub for a pint.  Such a good time! 

No registration needed. Bring a yoga mat if you have one, and $15.00 to cover the cost of the class and a pint of beer.
Upcoming class dates: October 12th and October 26th.
