Day 8.
12/2/16 We made it a week. Congratulations!!! How's it going? Reflecting on this long first week....how are you doing? Is it easy to stick with your healthy habits? Challenging to keep up with it day in and day out? One strategy we have discussed in the past is having a plan. Create a plan that will help you be successful in sticking with your healthy habits. For any project or task, we likely have some type of plan even if it's simple one. When I want to paint a room I make a plan: 1. Decide on a color. 2. Buy the paint and brushes. 3. Move out any furniture and items. 4. Set aside time to paint the room. 5. Paint the room. Seems so simple right? So let's start making some simple plans to make our goals happen. As we approach the weekend, see if you can create a plan to make these habits a reality one day at a time. One of my healthy habits resolutions is to get in 4 workouts during the week. That means I need one more workout this weekend. I am thinking about my schedule right now and realizing that Sunday is going to be only the day for my own workout. My husband is on-call and we have some other activities that day, so I will plan on a "driveway" workout Sunday morning. I'm putting it on my calendar as a reminder of this plan. Take a few minutes today, friends. Look at your goals and think about the steps you need to take to achieve that habit today, or tomorrow, or Sunday. I would love to hear from you. What is your plan? If you are willing to share, let us know so we can be motivated on inspired by YOU. Have a lovely afternoon everyone. "I can do this."
