Day 15.
Happy Friday. I had no idea that my 5 word task would be such a challenge. It's hard to write or talk positively about ourselves sometimes isn't it? I'm going to leave this challenge going through the weekend so you can have a chance to practice some self-kindness. Try it. Just 5 words. As we enter the weekend and potentially get our of our "regular" routine....remember that small changes WILL lead to bigger change. This is a busy time of year as we celebrate holidays and the end of the year. In my house we have three birthdays in December, followed by Christmas, which adds up to a jam-packed month with lots of cake! Rather than beating myself up for getting off track from my normal eating habits, I see what else I can do to find balance. More water....a little more movement...more veggies on my plate. And a yummy piece of cake at my son's birthday party last weekend (and this weekend for my other son!) My hope for all of us in participating in this healthy habits challenge is that we start to create lifestyle habits that are sustainable. If we start to stray from our goals, or we have a rough day or even a few days, then we try again the next day. We find something we CAN do today and then add something else in tomorrow. Moderation. Balance. Self-kindness. It's a process and a journey we are taking together for 2 more weeks. You can do this. "I can do this!!!"
