I apologize for disappearing over the past weekend. We were non-stop from Friday night til Sunday night with all kinds of family activities. Something had to give and sadly it was me posting here.
But we are back today and ready to kick butt this week with our healthy habits! Right?!!!
There is a very powerful TED talk given by Simon Sinek called "Start with Why." I am certain many of you have seen it. If not, here is a link to the video. Though this talk refers to businesses and organizations, I often find myself reflecting on its key points and relating them to my own life, not just professionally but personally too. His main point is that businesses and organizations know "WHAT" they do....."HOW" they do it....but the key to success is knowing "WHY" they do it.
Applying these three questions to our challenge, we have actually already covered the first two:
1. WHAT are we doing? We have established and decided on our healthy habit goals.
2. HOW are we doing it? This comes back to the plan we discussed on Friday last week. Each day we figure out how we are going to make the habits happen.
3. And now finally....WHY are we doing it?
That's my question for all of you today.
What is your WHY for this challenge? For these goals? What makes you commit to doing this? Keeping our WHY in mind is an effective way to keep on track and be persistent and successful in our efforts.
