Fall Fresh Start Challenge - Day Thirteen

Day 13. 

Such a different day than last week here in NC. Sun, blue sky, perfect Fall temps. It's like Mother Nature wanted a fresh start too.

I hope that you are all having a good start to your weekend. For me, Saturday has always been the day filled with so much potential energy. Digging deep into the recesses of my brain, recalling random physics info (and confirming with good old Google), "potential energy" is the stored energy of an object. Potential energy (PE) is the ball at the top of the hill, about to roll down, the playground swing pulled back before we let go. For as long as I can remember, Saturday has always been the day of the week that feels different than the rest, a little more special.

Saturday begins with potential energy and we then choose how to turn that into kinetic energy, the energy of movement. Even though there are some Saturdays jam-packed with kinetic energy...teaching, baseball tournaments, work, birthday parties, playdates, etc... I still always view it from the perspective of possibility and opportunity. What can I do today? What can I not do today? How will I spend this day?

Today, whatever you have going on, I hope that you can view this day as one filled with potential energy. If you are exhausted from your week, then maybe today presents an opportunity for some rest or downtime (or an early bedtime). If you feel like your tank is filled with potential energy, then how will you spend your time today? What experiences do you get to enjoy? What are your possibilities? Whether it's an errand and chore-filled day....or a football watching, hanging out day....let's try to be present to the potential and the possibility.

If you feel like sharing how you turn that potential energy into kinetic energy, feel free to post here either in words or a picture. I would LOVE to see how you spend your day...how you use that potential energy.

Our challenge tasks are fairly simple today.
Nutrition.....Attempt to finish eating before 8:00 pm. 
Exercise....Step ups on a curb/bench/step and tricep dips (and perhaps 30 minutes of more kinetic energy...movement!) 
Sleep...7 hours!

Today is your day friends. Day One. Recognize, appreciate, realize your potential energy.
